What Neither Machine
Can Do Alone.

Digital printing alone is exceptional at colour and detail — but it has a hard limit: it cannot apply special-effect pastes. Gold, silver, foil binder, glitter, puff, discharge, and khadi textures all require the physical paste volume that only a screen printing station can deliver. A digital printer head simply cannot do it.

Flat-bed printing alone handles those effects perfectly — but it cannot replicate the photographic colour resolution of digital. And printing large solid background areas on a digital machine is costly: the ink consumption per square metre on a solid fill is significantly higher than applying the same colour by screen.

The Hybrid eliminates both limitations in a single machine. The result is a product that neither a pure digital line nor a pure flat-bed line can produce — at a cost structure that neither machine alone can match.

Gold, Silver & Foil on Digital Prints

Apply metallic pastes, foil binders, glitter, and khadi effects directly onto digitally printed fabric in the same production pass. These effects are impossible on a digital-only machine — and previously required a second, separate printing run.

Full Patch Backgrounds — Screen Printed

Large solid background areas are printed using flat-bed screens, delivering better colour depth, superior levelling, and significantly lower cost per square metre than printing the same coverage digitally. Digital handles the design detail on top.

Lower Ink Cost on High-Coverage Designs

Printing a dense solid ground digitally is expensive — ink consumption on a full-coverage fill is disproportionately high. Using flat-bed for the background and digital for the detail produces the same result at a fraction of the digital ink cost.

Best Value Addition on Finished Fabric

Digitally printed fabric with screen-applied special effects commands a significantly higher market price than either process alone. The Hybrid is specifically designed to produce this premium category of fabric in a single inline pass.

Previously, combining digital and special-effect printing required two separate machines, two separate production runs, and re-registration of the fabric between them. The Hybrid does it inline — eliminating the second run, the second machine, and the registration error between processes.

The Hybrid integrates the Screenotex Altima flat-bed printing section with a digital printing module inline — fabric travels through both sections in a single continuous pass from infeed to outfeed.

Infeed & Fabric Prep
Fabric enters the machine from the roll with tension-free guiding. The infeed section ensures consistent fabric delivery at a controlled speed into the printing zone.
Section 02
Digital Printing Section
The digital module prints high-resolution full-colour designs inline. Precisely synchronised with the flat-bed section to maintain perfect registration between screen-printed and digital elements.
Section 03
Flat-Bed Printing Section
The Altima flat-bed section applies screen-printed colours, special-effect pastes, solid backgrounds, or pretreatment — depending on the operating mode selected.

Dryer & Outfeed
Printed fabric exits inline into the Screenotex dryer range — Float, Horizontal Conveyor, or FHCD — for immediate drying and fixation before winding.

Precision Registration Between Sections
Digital and flat-bed outputs are registered to each other within the machine's control system — eliminating the misalignment that occurs when the same fabric is processed on two separate machines across two separate runs.

In digital mode, the design repeat length is unlimited — not constrained by screen circumference. This gives designers full creative freedom on the digital elements of any hybrid design.

Compatible with reactive, disperse, acid, and pigment ink systems on the digital side, alongside all standard screen printing paste systems on the flat-bed side — including specialty effect pastes.
All Fabric Widths
The machine accommodates the full range of standard fabric widths. Width is specified at the time of order and is consistent across both the flat-bed and digital sections.
Tension-Free Fabric Handling
A continuous tension-free fabric transport system maintains consistent fabric delivery speed across both printing sections — eliminating stretch, distortion, and registration shift caused by varying longitudinal tension.
Inline Dryer Connection
The outfeed is designed for direct inline connection to any dryer in the Screenotex range — Float, Horizontal Conveyor, or FHCD — for immediate drying of both the screen-printed and digital elements in a single continuous pass.
Single Capital Investment
