the Job Demands.

Every print job has different requirements. Some demand the continuous speed of rotary. Others demand the fine line precision and high paste deposition of flat-bed. The Roto-Flat gives you both — on a single machine, selected by the operator before each production run.

Rotary Mode
High-Speed Rotary
Screen Printing
In rotary mode, the machine operates as a continuous-feed rotary screen printer. Fabric moves uninterrupted through the printing zone at high speed — the cylindrical screens rotate in contact with the moving fabric, delivering consistent print paste deposition across every metre of the run without any stop-start motion.
Continuous, jointless printing — no repeat seams or step marks on the fabric.
High-speed production — significantly faster throughput than flat-bed for long run lengths.
Sharp, critical design printing — fine lines and precise detail achievable with rotary screens.
Consistent colour deposition across the full width and full length of the production run.
Available with Apex PRO servo-driven heads or Climax squeegee system heads.

Flat-Bed Mode
Precision Flat-Bed
Screen Printing
In flat-bed mode, the machine operates as a full-capability flat-bed screen printing machine. Flat screens are lowered sequentially onto the fabric as it advances step by step — each screen can accept multiple squeegee strokes for high paste volume application, making this mode essential for complex designs, heavy coverage, and designs that exceed the pattern limitations of rotary.
Complex designs with fine outlines, narrow lines, and photographic detail — not limited by screen circumference.
Higher paste volume per colour — multiple squeegee strokes possible on each flat screen.
Better depth and levelling of colour on high-coverage designs and solid patch backgrounds.
Unlimited design repeat length — not constrained by rotary screen circumference.
Up to 12 colour heads for complex multi-colour work.
The Commercial Case

Two Machines' Worth of
Capability. One Investment.

A textile printing business typically needs both rotary and flat-bed capability. Some orders suit rotary — long runs, continuous designs, high throughput. Others suit flat-bed — critical designs, complex outlines, high paste volume, short to medium runs. Traditionally, meeting both requirements means buying and maintaining two separate machines.

The Roto-Flat changes that equation. A single machine frame houses both rotary and flat-bed printing sections, sharing the same blanket system, the same infeed and outfeed, and the same dryer connection. The capital cost of one machine. The floor space of one machine. The maintenance overhead of one machine. The production capability of two.

For mills looking to expand their print capability without doubling their capital commitment, the Roto-Flat is the most economically efficient path to running both technologies.

High-Speed Rotary for Long Production Runs

Switch to rotary mode for orders requiring maximum throughput. Continuous printing with no stop-start motion delivers significantly higher metres per hour than flat-bed on long runs — with consistent quality across the full production length.

Flat-Bed Precision for Critical Designs

Switch to flat-bed mode for designs that demand it — fine outlines, narrow lines, unlimited repeat lengths, and complex multi-colour work that cannot be achieved with rotary screens. Up to 12 heads for maximum colour range.

Lower Power Consumption than a Full Rotary Machine

The Roto-Flat's design consumes less power than a dedicated full rotary machine of equivalent capacity — delivering cost savings on every production run regardless of which mode is in use.

Eco-Friendly by Design

A single machine replacing two reduces energy consumption, chemical usage, and waste across your production line — contributing to a lower environmental footprint without compromising output capacity.

Motorised Automatic Mode Switching

Mode changes are controlled by an automated motorised blanket control system — not a manual mechanical process. The operator selects the mode; the machine configures itself accurately and repeatably every time.

Key Features

Everything You Need
on One Machine.

Every feature on the Roto-Flat is designed around a single principle — that switching between two printing technologies on a single machine must be as seamless, reliable, and repeatable as operating either machine independently.

Motorised Automatic Blanket Control
The blanket system is switched between rotary and flat-bed configuration automatically by the motorised control system — no manual mechanical intervention required. Mode selection is accurate, repeatable, and fast.
Jointless Rotary Printing
Rotary screens produce a continuous, seamless print with no join line between repeats — eliminating the visible step mark that characterises flat-bed printing and enabling all-over designs at full production speed.
Sharp & Critical Design Capability
Rotary mode delivers sharp, precise line work that flat-bed cannot match at equivalent speed. Hairlines, fine outlines, and intricate geometric repeats are achievable in rotary mode with the right screen specification.
Up to 8 Rotary Heads
Configure the rotary section with up to 8 printing heads — sufficient for the majority of commercial rotary print designs. The number of heads is specified at the time of order based on your design colour range.
Up to 12 Flat-Bed Heads
The flat-bed section supports up to 12 printing stations — handling complex multi-colour designs that require a wider colour range than rotary can practically deliver in a single machine configuration.
Lower Power Consumption
The Roto-Flat's engineering delivers lower power consumption compared to a dedicated full rotary machine of equivalent capacity — reducing operating costs across every production shift regardless of mode.
All Fabric Widths Supported
The machine accommodates all standard fabric widths in both rotary and flat-bed mode — the width is consistent across both sections and is specified at the time of order.
All Dye & Paste Systems
Compatible with reactive, disperse, acid, and pigment paste systems in both rotary and flat-bed mode — giving full flexibility across your dye house's existing paste chemistry without modification.
Inline Dryer Compatible
The outfeed section connects directly to any dryer in the Screenotex range — Float, Horizontal Conveyor, FHCD, or Vertical Conveyor — for immediate inline drying in either rotary or flat-bed production mode.
